For this specialist painting project I transformed standard mdf with a faux wood paint effect. I combined the illusion of oak for the frames and and burr walnut for the central panels. 

Whilst I was taking photographs of the finished piece a family friend walked in and asked if I was the joiner who had made it! My faux painting illusion had definitely worked, and that comment most certainly made my day.
