This picture shows a close-up of part of a mural I did in a barn conversion. I painted all the walls to look like real stone and then painted on various trompe l’oeil ‘educational’ parchments to help the kids learn their alphabet and times tables.
The parchment really comes to life and looks 3D because of the painted shadow, lifting it from the wall.
