For this project I created the illusion that the top section of this cabinet had doors that weren’t solid, but had open lattice work revealing the shelves inside. The doors on the base of the cabinet actually had real lattice work and once I’d painted the top doors in the same style this gave the cabinet a much better balance.
The items visible on the shelves were all very personal to the client, with the view in the photograph depicting a memorable scene from one of her childhood holidays.
