This trompe l’oeil was painted on the bulk head wall of a luxurious canal boat. All the rest of the walls were panelled so the owner wanted this wall to match. I suggested adding some trompe l’oeil binoculars to create even more of a feature.
He loved the idea and was bowled over with the finished result, which added a great talking point and illusionary feature to the boat.
