Project details - Rustic Faux Stone Wall

Rustic Faux Stone Wall – East Keswick, North Yorkshire

For this faux stone painting project I made the walls of this conservatory look as if they had succumbed to the ravages of time. The faux plasterwork was painted to look as if it was falling down and revealing the stonework beneath. This particular faux stone matched the buildings external stone perfectly and blended seamlessly at the edge of the conservatory. I also added some muted fresco style ivy trailing up the wall. Detailed ivy would have looked to prominent and heavy so I used a bit of artistic license to get the right effect.
