Project details - Kitchen Cabinet Painter Halifax

Kitchen Cabinet Painter Halifax

I undertook this kitchen cabinet painting job in a private house in Halifax. The kitchen cabinets were made from beech and were the original ones that had been installed when the development had been built built. Since then tastes and fashions have changed and the clients felt they now wanted a more up to date look for their kitchen.

Though the room itself had plenty of light, the original units made it feel dark and tended to dominate the space rather than complementing it. The cabinets were well made, and the layout perfect for their needs, so rather than going down the costly route of replacement, they decided they wanted their kitchen painted by a specialist kitchen painter.

In order to minimise any disruption for the clients, I only spent 5 days on site and then continued to prepare and paint the drawer fronts and units in my workshop, returning to re-hang them a week and a half later. As with all the kitchen cabinets I paint, preparation and attention to detail are the key. During the consultation I explained the tried and tested processes I employ and the specialist paints I use. I also suggested adding a second colour to some areas which would not only add to the aesthetics but also give it a more bespoke look. The central wine racks, and the area above the sink were all painted in a mid charcoal colour, with the line detailing on the drawers being highlighted as the project evolved.

As you can see from the pictures above, the transformation was pretty dramatic. The room felt instantly lighter, and much more modern and stylish. The clients were over the moon with the results and were kind enough give me this lovely testimonial.

‘Thanks for our Kitchen transformation – it is superb! Your meticulous attention to detail is great. Our end-to-end experience was ‘mess-free’ and this really helped us to continue with our busy family lifestyle whilst you were rejuvenating our Kitchen. Thanks again – we love it!’  Mrs F, Halifax
