Accessorising your kitchen

Having completed a kitchen painting project in West Yorkshire, and been sent some fantastic pics by the clients once the kitchen had been ‘dressed’, I thought I’d write a little Blog with some thoughts on accessorising your kitchen after having it hand painted.

Obviously the biggest change to any kitchen cabinets is having them painted. This completely transforms the whole look and feel of the room, and all at a fraction of the price of having them ripped out and replaced, but here are other things that can be done to to give your kitchen that ‘wow factor’ makeover.

There are the obvious things like new tiles, new floor, new worktops, a change in lighting, handles, and painting the walls in a complimentary colour, but often it’s the other littler changes or additions that can make a big statement. Adding a splash of colour (in this case mustard) with new soft furnishings, a colourful kettle and toaster set, new tea towels, chopping boards or even oven mitts can personalise your kitchen and really make it pop and is well worth thinking about.
