Hand Painted Kitchen Batley

Hand Painted Kitchen Batley West Yorkshire For this hand painted kitchen project, I traveled to Batley in West Yorkshire. The kitchen itself was solid wood and nearly 30 years old. The layout worked perfectly, but with tastes having changed the client now felt the cabinets looked dark and old fashioned. Rather than spending thousands more replacing her kitchen, the client decided the better option was to have it hand painted. After seeing my work and testimonials online she contacted me to arrange for an estimate. After receiving some photos and sending my estimate by return, I was booked in...

Kitchen Cabinet Painter Batley

Kitchen Cabinet Painter Batley As a kitchen cabinet painter I work throughout Yorkshire. This particular kitchen painting project was in Batley, West Yorkshire. I was contacted by Jill who had bought this solid wooden kitchen nearly thirty years ago. The cabinets were still in good condition and the layout worked perfectly, but with tastes having changed she now felt the cabinets looked dated. Shabby Chic Furniture Painting Leeds

Shabby Chic Furniture Painting Leeds This shabby chic furniture painting project was for a couple who live in Leeds. Painting their tallboy furniture was part of a larger project which involved upcycling several pieces of furniture which had been bought from reclamation yards and auction sale rooms. They wanted each piece to be done in a different, complimentary colour and have a shabby chic paint effect.  The idea behind shabby chic painting is to create a painted effect that makes the furniture look genuinely aged and worn, even though it’s not. Shabby chic furniture can range...

Hand Painted Shabby Chic Table

Hand Painted Shabby Chic Table This hand painted shabby chic table was a great little furniture painting project for a client in Gargrave, Yorkshire. She had bought the table because of it’s shape and style, but was unhappy with the old paint finish. For such a delicate piece of furniture it wasn’t painted very sympathetically, looking much too dark and heavy. It would defiantly benefit from a more subtle ‘antiqued’ shabby chic effect and that’s the client contacted me to do. Due to the detailed carving in the design, I actually decided to use aerosols rather than painting it by hand....

Furniture Painting Leeds

Furniture Painting Leeds This furniture painting project was for a couple who lived in Leeds. They had bought various pieces of used furniture from reclamation yards and auction rooms and wanted to upcycle them by having them hand painted. They didn’t want them painted in just a plain block colour though, they wanted each piece to have a different colour and an aged, shabby chic finish. This chest of drawers was originally waxed pine and required a fair amount of preparation before any painting could be done. With all the wax removed I set about filling all the dints and scratches, sealing...
